Viburnum Sinensis | Sweet Viburnum | Viburnum Odoratissimum
An aesthetically pleasing, fast-growing tree and all-around good choice. There’s a reason why it’s called “Sweet” Viburnum as the small flowers produce a strong sweet fragrance in springtime. It’s a delight for a small garden and can also be planted in a pot.
This tree is also popular to plant as a hedge or noise reduction barrier. Even though this shrub is not indigenous to South Africa, its flowers are abundant in nectar and pollen, and it is known for attracting bees, birds, and butterflies to the garden.
